Behind the camera
Mas Films is run by Massimo Cortese, a Fort Lauderdale videographer and photographer with several years shooting live, unscripted environments. He got his start shooting nightlife and events around Florida State University, and over a few years became one of the go-to videographers in that scene, the one clubs, promoters, and DJs kept calling back.
His freelance work covers nightlife recaps, multicam DJ and stage coverage, guest and venue photography, food and cocktail stills, and drone exteriors for bars, restaurants, clubs, and promoters.
He's also shot raw clips on festival stages including EDC Orlando, HARD Summer, and Vans Warped Tour, and spent several seasons on commercial and sports broadcast production crews before turning that experience into his own agency. He holds a B.S. in Digital Media Production from Florida State University.
Years of packed rooms and moving crowds taught him to stay calm and work fast without missing the shot. The footage still comes out clean and deliberate, never rushed.
